Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

We're the KBC ʻOhana Reunion 2026 organizing committee — a group of family members from the Koko, Book, and Cypriano ʻohana planning a private reunion. This isn't a business. You can reach us at kbcohanareunion@gmail.com.

2. What we collect

• Names and contact info (email, phone, mailing address)
• Family branch (Koko, Book, Cypriano, or connected to all three)
• Demographic and genealogy info: gender, date of birth, birthplace, t-shirt size
• Dietary restrictions or notes you provide
• Volunteer interests and availability
• Payment info — handled entirely by Stripe; the site never sees your card number
• Cookies that keep you signed in (a 90-day session cookie)

3. Why we collect it

• Registration management — knowing who's coming, ages for activity planning
• Genealogy book — we're compiling a family book; dates of birth and birthplaces feed into that. We're calling this out explicitly so you know.
• T-shirt sizing for the included shirt and any extra orders
• Communication about the reunion — email, and an occasional phone call if needed
• Compliance with payment processor requirements (Stripe needs name, email, and address)

4. Who we share it with

• Stripe (payment processing) — see Stripe's privacy policy
• Resend (email delivery) — see Resend's privacy policy
• Supabase (data storage) — see Supabase's privacy policy
• Other family members, only via the genealogy book we're compiling — a physical or digital family book, not public

We do not sell, rent, advertise to, or share your information with anyone outside the reunion organizing context.

5. How long we keep it

Through the end of 2026 for active use. Genealogy info may be retained longer in the family book — that's a separate physical or digital artifact for family use. Active site data will be deleted on request after the reunion.

6. Your rights

• Request a copy of what we have on you: email kbcohanareunion@gmail.com
• Request correction or deletion: same email
• Children: keiki under 13 are registered by their parents or guardians; we don't have direct interaction with them on the site.

7. Cookies

• One session cookie (kbc_family) keeps registered families signed in across visits for 90 days, so you don't have to re-enter your info.
• No third-party tracking, no advertising cookies, no analytics that identify individuals.
• If we ever add analytics, we'll update this section.

8. Security

• The site is HTTPS-only.
• Payment info is handled entirely by Stripe (PCI compliant).
• The database is hosted on Supabase with row-level security.
• We're not perfect — if we ever discover a breach, we'll let affected family know.

9. Changes

We'll update this page if anything changes. The date at the top is the last revision.
